What is the working principle of RichBeam LiDAR?
RichBeam LiDAR sensors use the dTOF method to measure object distance. The LiDAR emits a pulsed laser beam and starts a timer. When the laser hits the target surface, it undergoes diffuse reflection and returns to the photodetector. The photodetector receives the signal and stops the timer. This time difference between the laser's emission and reception is the time of light's flight. Multiplying the speed of light by the time of light's flight gives the distance the light travels, thus allowing the calculation of the distance from the device to the target.

Which type of LiDAR should I choose for my application?
If you are looking for a highly stable LiDAR for industrial AGV and robotics, LakiBeam is a good choice. KoraBeam is designed for security monitoring, with built-in early warning function, which can achieve reliable real-time intrusion monitoring. MetaBeam is designed for autonomous driving. BeamMaster 1 is designed for volume measurement scenarios. BeamMaster X is designed for large-scale industrial engineering design measurement, suitable for construction and structural analysis. If you pursue the latest laser technology and actively explore the application of new technologies in your project, it is recommended that you use HaloBeam.
-
Can LiDAR detect transparent glass?
LiDAR works based on optical detection principles. Laser beams can pass through transparent glass, which may result in a certain probability of missed detection. For environments with many glass surfaces, we recommend adding auxiliary reflective measures, such as applying frosted stickers, or using other non-optical sensors for redundancy.
-
Can LiDAR be installed with an additional transparent cover?
No. The original cover of the LiDAR is part of its optical system. Installing an extra transparent cover may interfere with the optical path and affect the point cloud quality.
-
What is the wavelength of the LiDAR laser?
The LakiBeam1/1L/1S/1H/1H Pro series operates at 940 nm, while the LoraBeam series, KoraBeam series, MetaBeam series, and MetaBeam S series operate at 905 nm.
-
Is the laser emitted by the LiDAR harmful to human eyes?
No. All RichBeam LiDAR products have obtained Class 1 eye-safety certification based on the IEC/EN60825-1:2014 international standard.
-
What is the product warranty period?
Our products come with a 12-month free warranty (non-human damage). Extended warranty services require additional purchase and can be selected at the time of ordering.
Extension: 1 year ¥139, 2 years ¥298 (maximum 2-year extension).
-
Is a trial version of the LiDAR available?
1-month free trial is available in mainland China. Due to international logistics, trial units are not provided for overseas customers.
-
Which certifications have the LiDAR products passed?
Our LiDAR products have completed IEC-60825 Class 1 eye-safety certification, CE certification, shock and vibration tests, temperature tests, and IP6X/IP5X dust- and water-resistance certifications.
